Core Rules for All Set Challenges


The following rules will apply to all the set challenges:


  1. Map Generation - world seed: challengename## or ##challengename (Example: lumbersham01 or 01lumbersham); world size: 6144; preview quality: no preview; cracks, craters, lakes: few; plains: 83%, hills & mountains: 8% Biome Layout: Center Forest; 20% each biome.

  2. General Tab - Survivalist Difficulty. XP Multiplier 200%.; Basic Tab - BM Frequency 7 days. BM Count 64 zombies. Zombie Day Speed Jog. Zombie BM Speed Nightmare. AI Smell Mode Run. Airdrops disabled.

  3. Advanced Tab - Loot Respawn disabled. Quest Progression 5. Jar Refund 0%.; Trader use required for quests and in-game challenge board, use for buying & selling up to the player although recommended.

  4. Tools can be used in any challenge for gathering & harvesting purposes but not for attacking unless otherwise specified by your set challenge.

  5. The in-game challenge board may require things forbidden by your set rules. You can use forbidden items to complete the challenge board but then immediately discard, scrap or sell them off.
    (Example: Make a bone knife to skin animals to get meat, then scrap knife as needed.)

  6. Robotic drones, wooden spikes, all weapon and armor modifications, and all workstations can be used in all set challenges.; Each set challenge you get three lives. You can die twice but your third death ends your run.

  7. Your first week in each biome you are not allowed to leave the biome for any reason. Consider yourself locked into the biome.

  8. Your second and third week you are allowed to leave the biome ONLY to complete the biome progression challenge to unlock the gear needed to live in the next biome. You cannot look for the next trader or do any exploring other than to gather the required items. After you finish all the steps you must return to your current biome until you are ready to move. Note that you can use the special job to help you do this.

  9. Each 3rd blood moon you are required to leave your current biome for the next one. You must carry everything you need on your person, your vehicle and your drone. Sell off or abandon everything else.
    Make sure any treasure maps and quests are done before you leave. You cannot come back to the biome once you leave it. You must also reach the next trader before they close or you fail the run.

  10. Win condition: Survive three weeks in each biome, then survive four weeks in the Wasteland biome You must also complete one Tier 6 infested quest before the final horde night.

Armor Set Challenge 1: Lumbersham Challenge


A lone lumberjack that only eats sham-related foods.




Armor requirements - Primitive or Lumberjack set only.

Melee Weapons - Axes or Chainsaw only.

Ranged Weapons - Rifles only.

Throwables - Molotovs only.

Technology - Blade Traps only.

Vehicles - No Gyrocopters.

Food - Sham Sandwich, Can of Sham, Sham Chowder, Honey Glazed Sham only.

Drinks - Everything except Yucca Smoothie.

Medicals - Honey when infected only (not as food), everything is ok.

SPECIAL - Can only use Sunstroke Tonic & Scorcher Stew once for Biome Challenges.

Armor Set Challenge 2: Jock Bro Challenge


A juiced-up protein-eating ex-athlete street thug.




Armor requirements - Primitive or Athletic set only.

Melee Weapons - Bare Fists & Knuckles only.

Ranged Weapons - 9mm and .44 handguns, no SMG.

Throwables - Molotovs only.

Technology - Robotic Sledge only.

Vehicles - No Minibikes or Gyrocopters.

Food - Meat-based food only, no vegetable ingredients except cornbread.

Drinks - Waters, Coffees, Mega Crush.

Medicals - Honey when infected only (not as food), everything is ok.

SPECIAL - Can only use Sunstroke Tonic & Scorcher Stew once for Biome Challenges.
Steroids & Beer must always be active if owned.

Armor Set Challenge 3: Muddled Miner Challenge


A miner obsessed with things that start with the letter M.




Armor requirements - Primitive or Miner set only.

Melee Weapons - Stone Axe, Pickaxes, Augur, Machete only.

Ranged Weapons - Machine Guns except Tactical Rifle, Magnum.

Throwables - Molotovs only.

Technology - Land Mines only.

Vehicles - Minibike & Motorcycle only.

Food - Any canned or cooked food with a word starting with M.

Drinks - Waters, Coffees, Mega Crush.

Medicals - Honey when infected only (not as food), everything is ok.

SPECIAL - Can only use Sunstroke Tonic & Scorcher Stew once for Biome Challenges.

Armor Set Challenge 4: Canned Commando Challenge


A lost commando that never left the battlefield.




Armor requirements - Primitive or Commando set only.

Melee Weapons - Knives and bare fists only.

Ranged Weapons - 9mm pistol & Machine Guns only.

Throwables - Molotovs & Grenades only (no pipe bombs).

Technology - Tripwire-activated Dart Traps & Electric Fences, Land Mines only.

Vehicles - No Bicycles.

Food - Canned Foods only.

Drinks - Waters, Coffees, Mega Crush.

Medicals - Honey when infected only (not as food), everything is ok.

SPECIAL - Can only use Sunstroke Tonic & Scorcher Stew once for Biome Challenges.
Stone Axe used as melee until bone knife is made.
